Ir. Ch. Nellyvill's Just Dropped In To Bernemcourt J.W. (Ir. Jun Ch.) CJW. & C.W. 13

Kari came to us after a long, sometimes impatient wait, of three years. In 2009 I had the privilege to be invited to judge the Norwegian Bernese Club Show and was so impressed by the quality of the dogs presented over that weekend that I kept a watch on the web sites of my major winners in the hope that I could be fortunate to be able to obtain one of these beautiful Bernese.
As luck would have it I found that my Junior Bitch winner , NUCH Nellyvill'sEasy Joy, Dropse, was to be mated to my Best in Show winner Multi Ch Ola Odelsgutt Av Hiselfoss. I immediately contacted Hilde from Kennel Nellyvill to get my name down for a puppy should the mating be successful. Two matings came and went with no joy and then on Christmas Day 2011 Kari ws born.
Easter Tuesday we met up with Hilde and her husband Thomas in a snowy Drombas, Norway and met Kari for the first time. Our first impressions in meeting her we were confident that the long wait, the 7 Ferries, 11 Countries and the 2,804 Driven miles was well worth it.
My critiques of the parents in 2009
Ola:-3 1/2 years old. Slightly smaller than average. Masculine head. Correct shoulder placement. Good topline +underline with ample bone. Covers the ground with ease, great front and rear movement which he held throughtout. Correct tail carriage.
Presented in excellent condition and stands out.
Dropse:-9 months medium size. very pretty feminine, but strong head. good shoulder placement and front angulation. Good spring of rib giving a lovely outline, ample bone moved with good reach and drive with a corrrect tail + topline, shown in excellent condition.

Max has been a real star for our kennel with a super temperament and willingness to please. He has surpassed Rocco in many ways and is a totally different character in the ring and appears to enjoy every minute of it.
